F8F Bearcat

File Description:
F8F for x-plane v6.7 - With its 2250 + HP engine it requires a lot of skill to just get this bird into the air. The F8F bearcat was the last propeller fighter aircraft made by grumman. Deployed very late in the war, the first squadron of bearcats were on their way to japan when WWII ended. Although they never saw service in WWI they were used in Korea. At least 24 US Navy squadrons flew the Bearcat, some until as late as 1952. With a maximum speed of 421 mph it was one of the fastest aircraft of WWII. Place the Weapons files in the Weapons folder.

GlassWing: the Visible Biplane (Xp v7.62)

File Description:
Welcome to GlassWing, the most detailed aircraft yet made for X-Plane. It represents a new generation of Xp planes: aircraft modeled mostly outside of PlaneMaker. GlassWing is a four place, all metal sport biplane made for mountain flying. It offers superb climb rates, very short field capabilities and a high service ceiling. With its transparent skin, every major aircraft component is visible: spars, ribs, hinges and more. Right down to the spark plugs. It is a good visual tool for any flight school. It also shows the relationship between power and trim. GlassWing can haul almost 700 pounds into remote regions, for scenic and challenging flights. With its 300 horsepower V8 engine, it climbs like a homesick angel and can turn on a dime. Comes with Greg Hofer's Garmin AVD 55 GPS plug in (PC only) for easy navigation. GlassWing is an excellent barnstormer, ribbon cutter, hangar and Tower buzzer. Join Doug and Allison with their husky dog Sitka, on a weekend camping flight into the hills. Try some real flying: in the mountains, not over them. Land where no one has landed before. A good system with 128 VRAM is recommended for smooth flights. Fly the GlassWing today ! Airbus A320-100 series

File Description:
This is the final release of my Airbus 320-100 series for X-Plane version 7.61. I've included all the possible resources so far available in Plane-Maker,including flap rails and custom landing gear struts. By adding more cross sections I was able to shape a round aircraft nose which is very close to the original.I did my best with the airfols, that probably need to be tuned up by an expert. Panel and sounds are standard with some navigations aids added, but you can use any of the nice custom cockpits and sounds available everywhere. As with any other flight simulator the quality of the visual model depends upon the monitor and the acelerator card used. By setting to very high resolution in the rendering options and antialising in the acelerator card a good balance between quality and frame rates can be obtained. The package includes bit maps painted in the Iberia and Alitlia liveries. You just have to copy the ACF file, the weapons and the aifoils to their respective folders. A basic kit for repainting can be obtained by e-mail request to the address below, since I don't have a web page. Comments and suggestions to improve the visual model are wellcomed. It may be repainted and freely distributed ¡Enjoy it! Manuel Urrutia Avisrror University of Salamanca.Spain [email protected]

Monarch Airbus 310-300 Version 3.0

File Description:
For those flightsimmers who have the wrong believe that the aircrafts developed with PlaneMaker don't have a good visual quality, here is an example of what can be obtained with patience and some basic knowledge (and using only 16 points cross-sections). This is an update of my Airbus A310-300 for version 7.61 (only) painted in Monarch livery. After many trials I finally succeeded to get an aircraft nose without that beak-like end. Flap rails, spoilerons and a second aileron have been added and their correct size and shape adjusted and placed, with the logic limitations, where they are supposed to be from the drawings I used in the design. Some of the aerodinamics have also been retouched for a better performance. Wings are painted just with the control surfaces outlined because PlaneMaker manages to put the basic shades. As all the aircrafts I design it may be freeley distributed and repainted Greetings from Spain to all x-plane fans. Manuel Urrutia Avisrror [email protected]

Seaplane Racer for x-plane 6.6-6.7

File Description:
Seaplane Racer for x-plane 6.6-6.7 - This is the looser (by choice) of my two designs completed for the Seaplane Contest going on at www.x-plane.org. It is the fastest of my two designs capable of 500 mph in level flight at 1500 ft. Powered by two Rolls Royce Merlin V12 engines each developing 2200 HP. The rear engine drives 2- 9' diameter, pusher, four blade, counter rotating props; the front engine drives 2-7.2' diameter, puller, four blade, counter rotating props. Wing tips fold to reduce drag and allow the plane to meet the minimum 200 ft2 wing area. Remove the floats, shorten the landing gear by about 2.7 feet and do over 530 mph. Go to www.x-plane.org go to the forums and click on custom designs to find out more about the seaplane contest.
