Ship in Distress near Kodiak, Alaska

File Description:
This cargo vessel was created by Johan Kotze using Gmax. The vessel is simulating a ship in distress and has smoke coming out several places, suggesting a fire on board. The crew have launched one of the life rafts, floating to the stern of the vessel and have requested urgent assistance and require airlift to safety. The ship has a helipad at the stern and has lights. The ship is 150nm NE of Kodiak, Alaska at N58 23.05 W147 53.09 . FS2004 and FSX files included.

Viracopos International Airport (IATA: VCP, ICAO: SBKP, City Code: CPQ) serves Sao Paulo, Brizil. The airport is part of a multi-airport system set around the city of Sao Paulo. It is the second busiest cargo airport in Brazil. The airport is currently going through an expansion phase which will eventuall include a second runway. The scenery includes a relocated runway and new taxiways, enlarged aprons, new termianals and airbridges, and other buildings including parking garages.

RNAS Inskip

File Description:
RNAS Inskip is located a few miles north of a place called Kirkham near Blackpool which is in the county of Lancashire (U.K.). During WWII the Lancashire plain was used extensively for airfields. Most famously, USAAF's BAD2, which General Doolittle labelled 'the world's greatest air depot' was located at Warton, only a few miles south of Inskip. What with RNAS Burscough and RAF Woodvale close by the other side of the river, the skies above the Ribble must have been a dense mass of most of the u.k./u.s.a. aircraft types ever flown during WW2. Otherwise known as HMS Nightjar (X4IP), it was only open as an active airfield for a few years 1943 - 1946. It was used by the Fleet Air Arm mainly for Radar Training and bombing practice, but many operational units would disembark from their carriers for upgrades or maintenance during carrier refits. Flying out of Inskip were many FAA types - Fireflies, Swordfish, Ansons, Barracudas, Fulmars, Tarpons (Avengers) and Martlets (Wildcats).
