FS2004 Scenery - Elkhart Municipal Airport serves Elkhart and Elkhart County and is owned by the City Of Elkhart, Indiana. The airport has more than one runway. The longest is a paved runway extending 6500 feet. The facility is at an elevation of 778 feet at a distance of about 3 miles from Elkhart. For the enjoyment of the FS community, by John B. This is my last scenery post; read the text note in the zip. This greatly modifies my previous (2009) post of Geraldton, and has more purpose-made buildings. The new version is stand-alone and does not require you to have previously installed Geraldton; it interacts with Dryden and Sioux Lookout for AI flights. Geraldton is in northern Ontario, 70 miles northeast of Thunder Bay and 50 miles east of Lake Nipigon. The town is on the northern shore of Kenogamisis Lake and strung out northwards to the east-west railway line. The population is around 2,400 and the origins are in mining. The airport is a further 3 miles or so north, just south of Hutchison Lake. CYGQ has just over 5,000' of asphalt aligned 08-26; I think there used to be a second runway in a similar arrangement to the one at Dryden, but that was long ago. At the eastern end of the runway there are hangars that turn their back on an irregularly-shaped and seemingly unplanned apron; this is because it was unplanned. There was a large addition made so that fire fighting CL 415 planes could be parked there in the summer, adjacent to tanks containing foam and chemical additivies. The AI (available with my Sioux Lookout and Dryden posts) includes CL 415 flights.

File Description:
FS2004 scenery for Erding Air Base, Southern Germany. Erding was turned over to Allied control after the second world war and served for many years as home to first the U.S. 440th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron, and then the 52nd Tactical Fighter Group. When the 52nd withdrew in 1971 the base served as a rotation point for various NATO units finally becoming a repair and upgrade center for the then-new Typoon Eurofighter. Serving Southern Germany for over 50 years, the base now faces an uncertain future due to plans for a high-speed rail connection through the property. Scenery includes custom 3-D objects as well as seasonal photo-groundcover.

LPFZ is a certified airfield for ULM and helicopters in the center of Portugal, closer to Zezere River. It's mostly used by customers of neighbouring resorts and for fire fighting during summer season. This scenery is to be used ONLY with freeware scenery PTTerrain from PTSIM (http://www.ptsim.com). Not tested for FSX.

It was a major servicing unit during the 70s and 80s for most types of aircraft with the exception of Hawks, Jaguars and Buccaneers (RAF Abingdon). | RAF Swinderby - 1990 |

File Description:
This scenery represents RAF Swinderby as it was during 1990. Swinderby was the entrance point for all non-commisioned ranks following their entry into the Royal Air Force, where they spent six weeks undertaking basic training.
It was also home to the Chipmunks of the Elementary Flying Training School, where prospective pilots were sent to give them 15 hours introductory flying training before being put into mainstream training. The station was closed in 1993 and now only the flying side of the station exists as warehousing and storage.
Also included are 7 repaints of Mike Cronin's de Havilland Chipmunk in the colours of the EFTS, plus representative flightplans.
The scenery has been constructed using objects mainly from MAIW sceneries, which will need to be installed in order to gain the full visual experince.

File Description:
This scenery represents Zweibrucken Air Base in Germany as it was during 1990. At this point, the base was the home to the reconnaissance Phantoms of the 38th TRS/26th TRW. Also based here were the C-23 Sherpa's of the 10th MAS, which played a huge role in the European Distribution System, providing spares and supplies to bases throughout Europe without the cost of using larger cargo aircraft.
The scenery has been constructed using objects mainly from MAIW sceneries, which will need to be installed in order to gain the full visual experince.
