A hand made shaving work over the TropicalSim-Cancun 2010 scenery for FS2004. This package contains these enhancements: New and improved terrain imagery with night textures, corrected runway headers for 12L/30R and 12R/30L, get rid of the default airport background image polygon, enchanced AFCAD which also includes the new ILS for runway 12L and the new VOR 'Nichupte', enchanced landclass and waterclass, added also windsocks, taxi signs, VOR and ILS antennas, a very realistic Cancun's peninsula, naval traffic* and additional enhancements for Lago FSE users*. Main requirement to install this patch: FS2004 (FS9.1) and TropicalSim MMUN 2010.

File Description:
Goodspeed is a privately owned airfield in East Haddam, Connecticut that operates as a public access general aviation facility. The runway is a short 2120 feet and is carefully placed in a shoreline meadow of the Connecticut river. Surrounded by the dense forests and community, the airport is a tight approach, further hampered by the presence of the East Haddam Bridge, which sits under the runway 14 approach. The airport has limited parking facilities for transient aircraft, and it is not common for visiting aircraft to park in the grass in front of the "terminal". Hanger facilities are provided as well. Nearby is the famous Goodspeed Opera House, established back in the 19th century, the house still has operas other performances regularly.

This scenery contains the eastern part of the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument. It extends from the town of Escalante down south where it connects with the Page/Lake Powell scenery. Contains the upper part of wonderful Escalante Canyon. To explore the scenery depart from Escalante Airport (1L7). Thanks to Joop Mak for providing a custom AFCAD that corrects the airport layout so that it matches with the photo-textures! High resolution versions of this scenery for FS9 and FSX (much sharper, but larger and multiple downloads) are available at www.blueskyscenery.com/CNY_South2West3.html . This scenery includes Havana as it was in 1962 (a mysterious city of much fascination for me) including El Morro Fortress on its rocky outcropping at the entrance to Havana harbor, the largest such fortress in the Caribbean, and its adjacent lighthouse. In downtown Havana you will see the capital building and several old cathedrals. Near the Malicon sea walk by the beach, you will find 3 famous hotels and former casinos, the Flamingo, the Riviera, and the Havana Hilton. The Havana Hilton opened just days before Castro seized power and nationalized it. When he first came to power he occupied the top floor for some time. Havana Airport opened originally as Rancho Los Boyeos Airport, located just southwest from the city in the village of the same name, which was then mostly farms, small ranches, and tiny communities. The original terminal was a very pretty Spanish colonial building, which the dictator Fulgencio Batista had remodeled in a 1950's cubist-tudor style. It was at the time of this remodeling (1957) that the airport's name was changed to Jose Marti International Airport, named after the famous Cuban revolutionary and poet of the 19th century. Jose Marti Airport was in the 1950s and 1960s the primary port of entry airport for Cuba. Up until the January 1st 1959 revolution many US airlines served Havana, but due to mounting tensions, the crisis of the Bay of Pigs attack, and later on the October 1962 missile crisis, traffic and tourism was ended as the US led blockade of Cuba took hold. By the time of this scenery, April 1962, the once former bustling Jose Marti airport had become quite sedate.

| Updates for Rockcliffe CYRO in Ottawa Canada |

File Description:
Flight Ontario posted their scenery for CYRO in 2008. I originally learned to fly at Rockcliffe Flying Club and came up with some additions and modifications in 2009, and now with the passage of time there are more changes. This version replaces the previous updates and is a self-contained version.
A mini tornado in 2009 destroyed the old willow tree and almost put paid to the clubhouse too (though all the buildings are still standing right now) so there is a new (temporary) clubhouse, a new hangar, the willow tree is gone, the car park is enlarged and is now asphalt, the fence line is revised and the entrance gate relocated. The previous modifications included the refueling point near the RFC buildings, revised apron shape, gravel car park, parked cars, extended perimeter fence, deck in front of the RFC clubhouse, more parked planes, the large and old willow tree, and the float dock in the river. Note in the winter picture the Ottawa River is frozen, as it is right now in reality, and you can download my "Frozen Lakes etc" post and turn your own Canadian winter into reality; I have been surprised by how few people are interested in winter flying in FS9.

Bryce Canyon National Park (KBCE), Utah, Photo-Scenery (FS9 & FSX)
Despite its name, Bryce Canyon is not actually a canyon that was formed by a river, but rather a giant natural cliff shaped through erosion by wind, water, and ice. Bryce is distinctive due to its geological formations, delicate and colorful pinnacles called hoodoos that are up to 200ft high. The bizarre forms and red, orange and white colors of the rocks provide spectacular views. Unfortunately the hoodoos are too small for the elevation mesh in flight simulator. But you can enjoy the colors and shape of the cliffs. The cliffs in main region of the park, just south of the airport are partly covered
by snow. But on the southern and western part of the plateau you can enjoy them free of snow. Bryce Canyon is named after the Mormon pioneer Ebenezer Bryce who settled in this area in the 1850s. It was designated as a national park in 1928.
Bryce Canyon Airport (KBCE) just handles small aircraft on a daily basis. But is was actually built to handle larger aircraft in case of emergency. And so on Oct.6th 2000 an American Airlines MD-82 from Denver to Los Angeles made a successful emergency landing after reporting smoke in the cockpit and a loss of cabin pressure.

This scenery covers the southwestern part of Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. From the air
you can see all the "stairs" from the Pink Cliffs of Bryce Canyon in the north down to the Grey Cliffs,
the White Cliffs and the Vermillion Cliffs just north of Kanab and then the Chocolate Cliffs further south.
Nothwest of Kanab you can fly above beautiful Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park which features coral-hued
sand dunes located beside red sandstone cliffs. These dunes consist of sand that formed thru erosion of
pink colored Navajo Sandstone surrounding the park and was deposited by wind. To explore the scenery depart
from Kanab Airport (KKNB).
